AID STATIONS WILL ADHERE TO THEIR DESIGNATED TIMES AND WILL CLOSE. (PLEASE READ AID STATION INFO FOR OPERATING TIMES).
PLAN TO FINISH BY 1:45 PM (5:15:00 MARATHON TIME BASED ON NORMAL STARTING TIME).
PLEASE START BASED ON YOUR EXPECTED FINISHING TIME. (SEE MAIN PAGE TO FIGURE YOUR APPROPRIATE STARTING TIME).
FINISH LINE WILL START TAKING DOWN AT 1:45 PM - HAVE LUNCH AND WILL LEAVE FOR HOME BEFORE 2:30 PM.
IF YOU FINISH AFTER FINISH LINE HAS BEEN TAKEN DOWN OR WE MISS YOU WHILE HAVING LUNCH - PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR RESULTS.

I really believe we have the best volunteers of any marathon that I have been a part of. Please be sure to thank these guys when you see them!
* For 2020 - ALL are required to carry a water bottle. If your running faster than a 10:00 minute pace, you should consider starting at 8:30 otherwise you will out run your aid support. Aid will be available at mile 7.8 and 13.1 for the early starters. They will also enjoy all the aid stations from mile 16 until the finish.
Early start participants may start at 7:30.
Super early start participants (starting at 6:30) are required to carry a water bottle. If your running faster than a 14:20 minute pace, you should consider starting at 7:30 otherwise you will out run your aid support. Aid will be available at mile 13.1 for the super early starters. They will also enjoy all the aid stations from mile 16 until the finish.
Super Super early start participants (starting at 5:30) need to plan on being mostly self sufficient - study times for aid stations and plan accordingly.

Aid covers 5:40 minute/mile to 12:00 minute/mile Pace. If you plan on running faster than 2:30:00, please let me know so I can can try to accommodate you.
Volunteers pick supplies up at the start of race unless you made previous arrangements. All Aid stations will have water and Gatorade provided.
Volunteers should be at the start of race before 7:15 unless you made previous arrangements.
Early start participants may start at 7:30.

Return: Runners are encouraged to meet at the finish at 6:45 AM to car pool to the start. Runners can also choose to meet at the start and hope for a ride back. Please offer a lift back for other runners, if you are heading back towards the start.

Green River Marathon and all volunteers are not responsible for any injuries or deaths. The Green River Marathon is a free run; the aid is free, the run is free and no one is paid. This is a low key run amongst friends. If you require special assistance or are unsure of your abilities please think twice about running 26.2 miles, unless you take necessary precautions. You must have medical clearance from your doctor before you begin any exercise program or running in any marathons. It is not our intent for anyone to get hurt while running the Green River Marathon.
